The „Hildesheim |
Hildesheim (bph) Several tons do weigh Bernward’s doors in the Hildesheim cathedral. Two times 35 grammes in contrast the Hildesheim “Cathedral-chocolate”, which can be bought in the cathedral-shop and at “chocolat – Bistro am Dom” right away. Both bars of chocolate in milk chocolate and plain chocolate can be opened just as Bernward’s doors and cost 3,50 euros. 50 cent therefrom are for the cathedral-restoration.
A blossom of the 1000 years of age rosetree on an orange back adorns the label of the new chocolate. Both bars are designed long and slender – just as Bernward’s doors. If you open them, you will find a small-sized card. “Become a member in the cathedral-construction-society” the diocese requests and provides the most important information on the cathedral-restoration as well.
Who wants to sweeten the reading has to decide. One of the bars of 35 grammes is deemed to be milk chocolate with its cocoa solids of 50 per cent. With 70 per cent cocoa solids in contrast the second bar is appreciably darker. Both have in common, that the cocoa comes from Bolivia, partner country of the diocese of Hildesheim. Furthermore the cocoa beans come from controlled organic agriculture and are traded fair, so that the farmers in Bolivia get an equitable part of the proceeds. The chocolate was produced by an Austrian company.
