The DECIUS bookshop in Hildesheim is once again getting involved with the cathedral and the Dombauverein (Cathedral Construction Society). At the moment the branch manager, Albert Josten, is allowing the Dombauverein to use one of the shop’s display windows in Schuhstraße. Located in a prominent place and attractively designed, the “Cathedral Window” catches the attention of many passers-by and makes it clear that the cathedral is, as Josten puts it, “quite simply part of our history and part of Hildesheim. Without the cathedral, there wouldn’t be a city.”
